Leading PR and Communications firm headquartered in New York seeks Chief Financial Officer to manage a team and be a hands-on leader. The CFO will report direct to and work closely with the COO and Partners of the firm. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with at least 2 years of most recent experience in a Finance position with a PR or Advertising agency, and proven success in managing teams. Overview of responsibilities: The CFO will manage a Finance department of 5 for this global PR firm with over 100 employees. • Work closely with the COO and Founder/Partner on strategic and financial planning for the firm • General Ledger • Monthly, weekly and quarterly financial reporting (including P/L by division and location) • Forecasting and budgeting (with COO) • Analysis of financial data including generating reports and proactively making recommendations to assist the management team • Tax reporting and filing (Corporate and Sales & Use) • Oversee and enforce financial policies including employee and company expenses • Oversee client collections • Multistate payroll • Oversee policy, procedures and compliance and internal finance controls • Management reporting for audit (US and UK) • Special projects (with COO) • Oversee invoicing • Oversee payroll • Finance information technology oversight (including potential migration to new accounting system) • Manage relationship with external provide that handles accounting & audits Required Credentials: Seeking collaborative leader with experience managing a finance team and desire to be hands-on as well as manage. Must have proven success is fast-paced environments at a PR or Advertising agency with at least $30M in revenue. • Must have 10+ years of total experience • Must have spent the last 2+ years in a finance position, with management responsibilities, with a PR or Advertising agency of similar size Compensation: Compensation is competitive and includes base, bonus, and excellent benefits with lots of other perks.
