The VP Growth Marketing will be a key member of company's leaders team, reporting to the SVP and global head of Marketing. In this role, the VP Growth Marketing will be responsible for building a finely-tuned customer lifecycle machine, acquiring and engaging the company’s next 200M users. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Lead the team. Oversee, develop, and optimize a team of around 15 performance marketers, growth strategists, CRM programmers, and analysts who are responsible for the always-on acquisition, activation, engagement, and retention of creators, curators and listeners across free and paid channels, supported by a variety of agencies. Build an entrepreneurial culture and instill a love of data-driven experimentation. Drive massive - but meaningful - MAU growth. Devise strategies to grow high-quality new MAU using high-impact levers, and lead performance and organic growth marketers to execute on that strategy. Identify - and develop - creators. Develop techniques to identify creators as early in the funnel as possible, and encourage them to upload and begin their creator journey. Activate, engage and retain - well, everyone. Build customer experiences that ensure listeners, curators, and creators find success on the platform and help make it a key part of their lives. Balance ROI across markets. Invest intelligently, localize where helpful, and grow wisely across our global footprint. Expand into new channels and technologies. Rapidly grow the channels through which we acquire and motivate customers to enable scale and efficiency. Partner with our Growth & Commerce product management group to give your team the right tools for their jobs. Measure it all. Construct a finely-tuned attribution model to measure the impact of your team’s work across time. Candidate Profile Bring a passion for the company mission – and a want to play a critical role in helping creators upload instantly, connect with fans, grow their careers, and help listeners discover, directly connect with and support company's community of creators. 10+ years of experience scaling consumer apps, products or services for global consumer, media, and/or gaming brands 5+ years of team management/leadership experience, including as a leader of leaders Experience driving demonstrable growth in high-growth, fast-paced and dynamic organizations High-ROI management of acquisition budgets >$10M and proven ability to scale Proven, unchallengeable experience in building successful always-on acquisition and engagement machines High degree of sophistication in marketing and advertising technologies, measurement, tools and processes. Demonstrated expertise across the breadth of online channels, both paid and organic Deep established proficiency in analytically rigorous data-driven experimentation International experience and a knowledge of diverse cultural, social and business landscapes Experience building and leading high-performance teams that deliver measurable business impact; focus on team development and optimizing the function to perform at the highest levels Self-directed leader with strong initiative and results orientation in a dynamic environment Have a hunger for being on the forefront of what’s next; an intuitive understanding and passion for enhancing experience; and possess a desire to push the envelope on creativity and innovation Bonus points for a thorough understanding of: ○ The entertainment and technology landscape, specifically the music industry ○ Modern multi-channel media businesses ○ Two-sided marketplaces and community-based services ○ The lifecycle of audio creators ○ Various monetization models including advertising, subscriptions, and newer transactional models ○ Virtual economies
