The Company is in search of a Java Backend Engineer to join their Institutional Securities Technology team. This role is focused on building scalable, high-performance enterprise applications and is particularly suited to candidates with a strong background in deep Java and Spring Boot craftsmanship, as well as a proven track record in problem-solving. The successful candidate will be part of a team that is adopting agentic AI workflows, so experience and awareness of AI and agentic concepts are crucial. The role demands a professional who can quickly pick up orchestrator/subagent patterns and eval workflows, and who has a genuine interest in AI-assisted software development. Key responsibilities for this position include hands-on Java development, deep Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, and messaging integrations. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in SQL, concurrency, and distributed systems design, as well as experience in CI/CD, DevOps, and production observability. A background in performance tuning and scalability improvements is essential. The role also requires the ability to design multi-agent workflows, integrate LLMs into production backend systems, and a working knowledge of agentic AI frameworks. Financial services or investment banking domain experience is a significant advantage, and a minimum of 6 years' relevant experience is generally expected.
