Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

The Company is seeking a Chief Executive Officer to lead its strategy, international positioning, and societal impact. The CEO will serve as an external representative and an approachable internal leader, building on the organization’s foundations while strengthening priorities, execution, and accountability against annual objectives and KPIs. Responsibilities include developing partnerships, overseeing business operations and results, managing stakeholder relationships, and guiding organizational change. The CEO will also shape the organization’s future direction and ensure its work advances its public mission. Candidates should bring substantial leadership experience managing professionals, strong business judgment, and the ability to balance commercial development with a public-interest mission. Experience in business development, financing, partnership building, and navigating complex stakeholder environments is required; international experience and cultural sensitivity are also important. Knowledge of the water sector or international development is an advantage, as is the ability to quickly build relevant expertise and networks. Excellent spoken and written Dutch and English are required; French, Arabic, or other languages are a plus.
