Vice President of Pre-Construction Greater Athens, GA Area

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Pre-Construction to lead its pre-construction function and build the systems and team needed to support continued growth. Responsibilities include overseeing estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and bid strategy; leading and mentoring estimators; and reviewing complex bids, guaranteed maximum price proposals, and cost models. The role will shape pricing and pursuit decisions, assess risk, constructability, and value-engineering opportunities, and standardize estimating processes and controls. The Vice President will also coordinate project handoffs with operations and leadership, maintain partner relationships, and support business development and pre-award planning. Candidates should have at least 10 years of construction experience, including heavy civil, and a proven record leading an estimating or pre-construction team. Strong expertise in bidding strategy, risk analysis, and margin management is required. The ideal candidate balances strategic leadership with hands-on involvement in major bids, builds scalable processes, and mentors teams effectively. Familiarity with estimating software is an asset.
