Chief Business Officer

The Company is in search of an Executive Vice President for Finance and Administration / Chief Business Officer to provide strategic and operational leadership for its fiscal and administrative enterprise. The successful candidate will be responsible for the comprehensive stewardship of financial strategy, budgeting, internal controls, and administrative operations. This role is pivotal in advancing the company's mission as a public research university and academic health center, and the executive will be expected to lead long-term financial strategy, maintain strong financial controls, and ensure compliance with various regulatory and institutional requirements. Key priorities for the position include developing a sustainable financial strategy, strengthening integrated decision-making, and enhancing institutional resilience. Applicants for the EVP/CBO position at the company should be strategically minded, collaborative, and forward-looking leaders with the ability to operate effectively in a complex, relationship-driven environment. The role requires a candidate with a bachelor's degree in a relevant field (master's preferred) and at least 10 years of experience in higher education administration, finance, business affairs, or a related environment, including a minimum of 5 years in senior leadership. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in institutional budgeting, long-range financial planning, and experience advising senior leadership.
