Vice President, Data Platform Engineer Greater Bengaluru, India Area

The Company is in search of a Data Platform Engineer, Vice President II, to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be a key player in the development of a multi-cloud open architecture-based data platform, with a focus on delivering trusted data products to business functions. This role is highly hands-on, with a significant portion dedicated to engineering and developing proof of concepts to ensure a resilient, scalable, and secure data platform. Responsibilities include validating target data platform architectures, optimizing data pipelines, and engineering high-performance data models. The role also involves leading the transition of capabilities from proof of concept to production, and mentoring and providing technical leadership to support teams. Applicants must have a Master’s degree in computer science or a related technical discipline, with over 15 years of technology experience, preferably in financial services. The role requires expert-level programming skills in Python and SQL, with Java or Scala as a plus, and deep expertise in Apache Spark for both batch and streaming workloads. Experience in building and operating enterprise data platforms using Snowflake and Databricks, as well as strong cloud engineering experience across AWS, GCP, and Azure, is essential. The ideal candidate will also have a proven track record in data engineering standards, performance optimization, and productionizing data capabilities through DevOps and CI/CD. Familiarity with modern governance frameworks and experience in AI-assisted coding is a plus.
