Senior Vice President of Operations Greater Boston, MA Area

The Company is seeking a Senior Vice President of Operations to lead a broad operational portfolio and translate strategic priorities into clear plans, measurable outcomes, and sustained execution. The role oversees banking operations, payments and deposits, digital transformation, financial-crimes capabilities, facilities, and enterprise risk and compliance. The leader will strengthen governance, controls, audit and regulatory readiness, while identifying opportunities to simplify and automate processes and improve customer experiences. Responsibilities also include guiding responsible use of AI, coordinating cross-functional initiatives, advising senior leadership, and developing experienced leaders and succession depth. Candidates should have at least 10 years of progressive leadership experience in banking or credit unions, including meaningful experience in a community financial institution. Required qualifications include leading complex operations across multiple functions, firsthand expertise in payments and deposit operations, and experience with risk and compliance frameworks, internal controls, audits, and emerging risks. Candidates must be able to develop senior leaders, influence executives, build cross-functional alignment, and turn strategy into measurable results. A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field is preferred; experience in areas such as digital banking, cards, fraud, financial-crimes compliance, automation, or business continuity is also advantageous.
