Associate Vice President, Account Executive, Employee Benefits Greater Chicago, IL Area

The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President, Account Executive, Employee Benefits to provide consultative account management and brokerage services to large-group clients. The role oversees complex benefit programs, including plan design, funding strategies, carrier marketing, renewals, compliance, and client service throughout the policy cycle. Responsibilities include advising senior client decision-makers, negotiating coverage terms, leading underwriting and RFP processes, and recommending ways to manage costs and risk. The Account Executive also supports client retention, identifies opportunities to expand services, and mentors colleagues. Candidates must hold an active Life and Health license and have at least eight years of employee benefits account management or consulting experience, including service to major-market clients. Required expertise includes self-funded and level-funded plans, stop-loss marketing, large-group underwriting, and presenting to senior executives. Strong communication, organization, leadership, and mentoring skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office, are essential. A related bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and industry designations are preferred; experience with multi-state accounts, analytics, pharmacy benefits, or population health is also valued.
