Vice President of Finance & Accounting Greater Chicago, IL Area

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Finance & Accounting to join its national office. The successful candidate will be a key member of the leadership team, providing strategic financial leadership, operational oversight, and fiduciary stewardship. This role is pivotal in ensuring the organization's financial strength and stability, with a focus on supporting its mission and maintaining disciplined financial management. Responsibilities include leading financial planning and analysis, treasury and asset-liability management, and overseeing accounting activities. The VP will also be responsible for compliance, managing audits, and leading a high-performing team. Applicants must have a minimum of 8 years' progressive finance and accounting leadership experience, with a preference for those with a background in regulated financial services or non-profit organizations. A B.S. degree in a relevant field is required, and a master's degree or equivalent experience is preferred. Professional certifications such as CPA or CFA are also preferred. The ideal candidate will have a strong strategic orientation, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to the values of the organization, including diversity, equity, and inclusion. Technical proficiency in financial systems and a strong understanding of GAAP, banking frameworks, and internal control design are essential.
