Vice President, Franchise & International Legal

The Company is seeking a VP, Franchise & International Legal to lead the legal strategy for its domestic franchise system and international expansion. This role is pivotal in providing practical and forward-looking counsel to support the brand's growth, protect its interests, and manage legal and regulatory risks. The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader, personally handling priority franchise and international matters, and will be responsible for setting and aligning legal strategies with the company's growth objectives. Key responsibilities include advising on the full lifecycle of domestic franchise relationships, leading legal work for international market entry, and establishing a consistent approach to franchise governance and enforcement. The VP will also be the primary legal partner to various business leaders, combining deep franchise expertise with commercial acumen to translate legal requirements into scalable solutions. Applicants for the VP, Franchise & International Legal position at the company should have a Juris Doctor degree, active membership in a U.S. state bar, and at least 12 years of legal experience, with a strong preference for those with a background in highly franchised global brands. The role requires a deep knowledge of U.S. franchise law and regulations, as well as experience in international franchising and cross-border transactions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading complex negotiations, resolving sensitive legal matters, and influencing executives in high-stakes situations.
