Vice President of Operations & Engineering

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Operations & Engineering to lead the end-to-end execution of complex customer solutions, from commercial handoff through project completion. The role is accountable for safe, reliable, efficient, and profitable delivery, with a focus on continuous improvement in safety, quality, delivery, and cost. Responsibilities include providing strategic and operational leadership across project management, field operations, engineering design, warehousing, freight management, transportation, safety, and continuous improvement. The Vice President will strengthen cross-functional coordination, customer communication, problem resolution, and team capability. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations, supply chain, logistics, or a related discipline; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred. At least 10 years of progressive leadership experience in operations, project management, engineering, transportation, logistics, manufacturing, or a comparable complex execution environment is required. Applicants should have experience leading multifunctional teams and a strong understanding of project management, field operations, transportation, and operational performance. Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar improvement methods is preferred, as is experience leading distributed technical and operational teams. Relevant experience in rail, project cargo, heavy-haul, industrial, engineering, warehousing, transload, or multimodal logistics is also valued, along with strong customer, executive communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.
