Chief of Schools

The Company is seeking a Chief of Schools to build and lead its academic and leadership strategy across a portfolio of public schools. The role will define school-quality standards, monitor outcomes, and direct targeted support to help schools improve. Responsibilities include building trusted relationships with school leaders through visits, coaching, and reviews; assessing school quality and leadership; and leading improvement initiatives. The Chief will also recruit and coordinate coaches and consultants, contribute academic expertise to external engagement and policy work, and collaborate with organizational leadership. Candidates should have led a public charter school or held a senior academic or school-management role, with a strong record of improving student outcomes. Experience coaching school leaders and influencing change through strong relationships is valued. Applicants should bring deep knowledge of instruction, literacy, and systems that improve reading and math, along with fluency in data and assessment. The role also calls for a commitment to expanding educational opportunity, openness to diverse school models and communities, and the ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution and thoughtful resource allocation.
