Vice President, Associate General Counsel, Automotive

The Company is seeking a VP, Associate General Counsel for its Automotive Division. The successful candidate will be the lead legal advisor, providing strategic counsel on a wide range of commercial, product, regulatory, dispute, and enterprise-risk matters. This role requires a seasoned legal professional with a JD or equivalent qualification, an active license to practice law, and at least 15 years of post-admission experience in advising a complex global business. The VP, AGC will be responsible for setting and executing the legal strategy, managing significant operational and enterprise risks, and leading a global legal team. Experience in automotive or technology risks, including product safety, ADAS, cybersecurity, privacy, trade, and regulatory compliance, is essential. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in commercial negotiation, drafting, and dispute management, as well as experience with cross-functional initiatives and task forces. Strong leadership, sound judgment, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders are key attributes. The role also involves supporting various business activities such as acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures, and improving legal operations through technology and AI. A background in the automotive, technology, or global manufacturing sectors is a plus, as is experience with software-defined vehicles, AI, and connected-vehicle data. The VP, AGC will be expected to lead with integrity, collaborate effectively, and drive transformation activities within the automotive division.
