Interim Head of Finance, Risk & Management Services Greater Djibouti Area

The Company is seeking a Head of Finance, Risk, and Management Services to provide strategic leadership and oversight of these critical functions within the Country Office. The successful candidate will be a principal advisor to senior management, ensuring that financial stewardship, governance, and resource management are in line with the organization's objectives. This role involves leading multidisciplinary teams, managing financial resources, and promoting operational excellence. The Head of Finance, Risk, and Management Services will also be responsible for integrating risk management, compliance, and assurance into all aspects of the business, as well as leading the organization's response to audit observations and recommendations. Candidates for this position should have an advanced university degree in a relevant field, with a preference for membership in a professional accountancy body. A minimum of 3 years' of relevant experience is required, with a background in financial management, accounting, budgeting, and reporting. Experience in administration, asset management, and facilities management is also desirable. The role demands a leader with a strong understanding of risk management, internal controls, and a proven track record in supervising staff and managing cross-functional activities. Fluency in English and French is essential, and knowledge of Arabic or another UN language is an advantage. The Head of Finance, Risk, and Management Services will be expected to foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning within their teams.
