Head of Commodity Trading Operations

The Company is seeking a Head of Commodity Trading Operations to lead and develop its trading operations function and a team of approximately 10. The role oversees trade execution across physical commodities and derivatives, working closely with front-office teams to move transactions from deal capture through completion. Responsibilities include managing logistics, documentation, and settlement across international commodity flows, resolving operational issues, and serving as a senior point of contact for internal teams and external counterparties. The successful candidate will also improve processes, controls, and systems while supporting business expansion into new products and markets. Candidates should have at least 10 years of experience in physical commodity trading operations, ideally within a trading house or merchant environment, and a proven record of leading teams in complex international settings. Strong knowledge of trade execution, international logistics, contractual and shipping documentation, Incoterms, and settlement processes is required. The role calls for commercial judgment, problem-solving ability, and skill in managing operational risk, exceptions, and competing priorities. Swiss residency or eligibility to work in Switzerland is required.
