The Company is in search of a Senior Principal Data Scientist, Vice President to take on a pivotal role in leading the delivery of AI technology services. The successful candidate will be the AI specialist and solution lead, working closely with global technology services and third-party vendors to provide AI architectural solutions. This senior role demands a professional with a Master's degree (PhD preferred) in a relevant field, at least 12 years of hands-on coding experience with AI algorithms, and a strong background in modern programming and design. The candidate should be proficient in AI code generation tools, public cloud development environments, and have a deep understanding of financial instruments and market data. Fluency in English and Mandarin is required, along with excellent communication skills and a proven track record in team management and leadership. Key responsibilities for this role include leading an agile team to deliver AI solutions, adopting modern AI tools, and driving the development and management of data scientists. The role also involves becoming a subject matter expert in AI tools, integrating and training AI models, and supporting the operationalization of AI solutions. The ideal candidate will have a background in asset management, experience in AI application development, and a strong focus on problem-solving and creativity. Desirable qualifications include prior experience in a data scientist role within a financial institution, model validation experience, and a CFA or equivalent certification.
