Senior Vice President, Director of Project Controls Greater Hartford, CT Area

The Company is seeking a Senior Vice President, Director of Project Controls to establish and lead a national project controls organization. The role will define the organization’s vision, governance, structure, operating model, workforce strategy, and service-delivery framework, while recruiting and developing a large, geographically dispersed team. The executive will oversee a phased rollout, establish consistent project controls processes and data practices, and advance automation and responsible AI-enabled solutions. They will partner with business and financial leaders to strengthen project forecasting, cost visibility, invoicing, risk management, and delivery performance, and provide actionable insight across the project lifecycle. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business, finance, project management, or a related discipline, along with at least 15 years of progressive leadership experience in project controls, program management, project delivery, commercial management, or a related field. Experience leading large teams across multiple management levels and dispersed operations is required, as is strong knowledge of project governance, cost and schedule management, forecasting, earned value, risk, change, contracts, invoicing, reporting, and closeout. Applicants should demonstrate success developing operating models, organizational structures, workforce plans, standards, and performance measures. A relevant master’s degree, industry-recognized certifications, and experience with enterprise project controls, analytics, automation, or AI are preferred.
