Assistant Vice President, New Index Development Greater Hong Kong Area

The Company is seeking an Assistant Vice President for New Index Development to join their dynamic and purpose-driven team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in the creation of innovative index products that align with the business and market strategies. This role involves conducting in-depth quantitative research, developing and enhancing index methodologies, and ensuring the successful launch of new indices. The ideal candidate will have a relevant university degree, at least 7 years' of experience in financial markets, and a strong background in index/ETF businesses, asset management, quantitative research, or product development. Exposure to the Hong Kong, China, and APAC financial markets, as well as proficiency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, is essential. Key responsibilities for this position include driving the automation of workflows, overseeing index build efforts, and leading workstreams across the new product lifecycle. The role also requires the candidate to have a good understanding of the competitive landscape, client needs, and industry best practices to design valuable index products. The candidate should be a self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, possess strong analytical and collaboration skills, and be adept at creating presentations to gain support for product initiatives.
