Dean of Faculty of Humanities

The Company is seeking a Dean for its Faculty of Humanities, a role that demands a visionary leader and world-renowned scholar with a strong commitment to impactful research and innovation. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a forward-looking vision and effective leadership for the Faculty, particularly in the context of the AI era. This includes proactive strategic planning, innovative strategies, and extensive engagement with stakeholders. The Dean will also be tasked with securing and managing resources to ensure educational, research, and knowledge transfer excellence, as well as fostering high-quality teaching and the holistic development of students. Interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary research, as well as partnerships with academic and non-academic organizations, are key areas of focus. Applicants for the Dean position should have outstanding academic qualifications at the doctoral level, a proven track record as an academic leader, and the ability to promote interdisciplinary collaborations. The role requires excellent communication, interpersonal, and resource management skills, with a strong commitment to ethics, transparency, and fairness. A substantial knowledge of the higher education environment and an excellent command of English are essential, with proficiency in Chinese being an advantage. The Dean will be expected to stimulate a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship and to undertake other duties as assigned by the Deputy President and Provost or the Central Management Team of the University.
