Head of Market, PPA Sales & Business Development

The Company is seeking a Head of Market to join its dynamic team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in defining and executing the commercial strategy, with a primary focus on the origination, structuring, and negotiation of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs). This role is pivotal in the development of new business opportunities and will have a direct impact on the monetization of the project pipeline, risk reduction, and the sustainable growth of the company in the Iberian and European markets. Key responsibilities include structuring, negotiating, and closing PPAs, developing commercial and route-to-market strategies, and managing the complete sales process. The role also involves preparing and coordinating PPA processes, maintaining long-term relationships with various stakeholders, and contributing to the company's commercial strategy. The ideal candidate for this position at the company will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in PPA sales, energy commercialization, origination, or business development within the energy sector. A strong background in negotiating and closing complex contracts is essential, as is a solid understanding of the Iberian/European electricity market, particularly in the context of solar PV, BESS, and energy trading models. The role requires a professional with strong commercial skills, experience in managing industrial clients, and the ability to build trusting relationships with diverse stakeholders. Strategic thinking, strong negotiation skills, results orientation, and an entrepreneurial spirit are also key attributes. Fluency in Portuguese and English is a must, with knowledge of other European languages being an added advantage.
