Non-Executive Director (Board-level role)

The Company is seeking an Honorary Treasurer and Non-Executive Director to join its Board and provide independent financial oversight. The role chairs the Audit & Risk Committee and Budget Committee, setting committee work programmes and reporting recommendations to the Board. Responsibilities include overseeing budgets and cash flow, assessing financial stewardship and sustainability, monitoring risks and internal controls, and overseeing the external audit relationship. The Treasurer will also support long-term strategic decision-making and ensure financial governance policies and practices meet applicable standards. Candidates must hold a professional accounting qualification or equivalent and have Board-level Finance Director experience, with a strong understanding of business operations, finance, and corporate strategy. Expertise in audit, risk management, internal controls, and corporate governance is required, along with the ability to provide independent, objective advice and support transactions such as acquisitions and investment financing. Experience managing defined benefit pension schemes is preferred. Strong judgement, high ethical standards, and the capacity to chair two Board committees are essential.
