Vice President, Product Counsel Greater Los Angeles, CA Area

The Company is seeking a Vice President, Product Counsel to provide practical legal guidance throughout product development, from early design through launch and ongoing improvements. The role will lead legal strategy for major launches, features, and platform initiatives, helping teams balance legal risk with business priorities. Responsibilities include identifying privacy, advertising, consumer protection, and regulatory issues; advising on emerging technologies and international requirements; and building trusted partnerships with product, engineering, and business teams. The Vice President will also lead and develop legal talent, represent product counsel in senior discussions, and help shape a collaborative approach to responsible product innovation. Candidates should have 15 or more years of legal experience, including substantial hands-on product counseling in a fast-moving technology or consumer-facing business. Direct experience advising product and engineering teams on digital products and supporting products across international markets is required. Applicants should bring knowledge of privacy, advertising technology, consumer protection, and regulatory matters, along with experience mentoring legal professionals and influencing senior leaders. Strong legal and business judgment, communication, organization, and prioritization skills are essential. A J.D. and active bar membership in good standing are required.
