Vice President, Production Greater Los Angeles, CA Area

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Production to oversee physical production for unscripted and reality programming. The role partners with development and programming teams, external producers, clients, and internal departments to plan and manage productions from development through delivery. Responsibilities include building budgets and production plans, monitoring schedules and costs, negotiating with vendors and crew, assessing tax credits and production requirements, and identifying risks early. The Vice President will maintain client relationships, support production negotiations, develop vendor and crew networks, and mentor production management teams. Candidates should have at least 15 years of experience in production company leadership and/or as a freelance executive in charge or line producer on large-scale productions. Strong expertise in budgeting, scheduling, cost reporting, and estimating completion costs is required, along with proficiency in Movie Magic budgeting and comprehensive knowledge of production processes and union agreements. Excellent communication, negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to work autonomously and manage complex projects in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of production risk, safety, and security practices is required; experience with sustainable production practices is an asset.
