The Company is seeking a Vice President, Underwriter for C&I. The successful candidate will be responsible for the analysis, due diligence, and underwriting of new loan requests for both new and existing clients within the community and commercial bank. This role involves independently evaluating the creditworthiness of loan requests, preparing written credit presentations, and creating credit approval recommendations. The Underwriter will also be involved in structuring credit requests, performing independent credit analysis, and risk assessment, and ensuring compliance with the company's policies and procedures, as well as all relevant laws and regulations. Applicants for the Vice President, Underwriter position at the company should be PC proficient, with a strong emphasis on Word, Excel, and Moody's. Excellent writing and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks. The role requires a self-starter with strong financial analytical skills, capable of evaluating complex financial statements and tax returns. A minimum of 6-8 years' underwriting experience in commercial financing is required, with a preference for candidates holding a Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in underwriting sponsor-driven cash flow lending for middle-market transactions and be proficient in nCino. Responsibilities also include mentoring junior underwriters, engaging with internal and external credit review teams, and staying informed about industry-related, political, and regulatory issues.
