Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Heavy Construction Industry

The Company is seeking an interim Controller/CFO to lead accounting and financial operations in the heavy construction industry. Responsibilities include managing month-end close and accurate financial reporting, overseeing percentage-of-completion and work-in-progress accounting, job costing, and project accounting. The role will strengthen accounting processes and internal controls, support audits and GAAP compliance, and improve reporting and operational finance practices. The successful candidate will partner with operational leaders on project performance, margins, and financial analysis while providing hands-on leadership to the accounting team. Candidates must bring significant, recent construction-industry finance leadership experience and deep expertise in percentage-of-completion and WIP accounting. Strong project accounting, month-end close, financial reporting, and process-improvement skills are required, along with experience working through legacy systems and manual processes. The role calls for hands-on Controller/CFO-level leadership, effective communication, and strong stakeholder-management abilities. A CPA and/or MBA is preferred.
