Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for its Spanish division. The CFO will be a key member of the local leadership team, responsible for shaping the financial strategy, governance framework, and operational excellence of the business. This role involves leading all finance-related activities, including financial planning and analysis, reporting, treasury and cash management, taxation, credit management, billing, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will ensure the financial reporting and control framework is transparent, accurate, and aligned with group standards, and will drive the annual budgeting, forecasting, and business planning processes. Applicants for the CFO position at the company's Spanish division should have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior finance leadership role within the energy sector, with a focus on energy retail or supply activities. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, and professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, CFA, or MBA are highly valued. The role demands a strategic mindset, strong execution capabilities, and excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills. The CFO will also be expected to have a strong technical background in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and treasury management, as well as a sound knowledge of Spanish tax, VAT, excise duty, and regulatory requirements. Fluency in English is essential, with a strong preference for Spanish fluency. The ideal candidate will be proactive, collaborative, and results-oriented, with the ability to communicate complex financial matters clearly to both financial and non-financial audiences.
