Chief of Security Greater Mount Pleasant, MI Area

The Company is seeking a Chief of Security to oversee facility safety, security operations, and assigned staff in a residential setting for youth. Responsibilities include reviewing camera footage and incident reports, ensuring required safety checks are completed, supervising and training personnel, and maintaining compliance with applicable regulations and security procedures. The role also involves conducting inspections and searches, monitoring access and activities, responding to emergencies, and coordinating youth and staff during critical situations. The Chief of Security provides operational oversight and helps maintain a safe, supportive, and professional environment. Candidates must have at least three years of experience in a residential setting serving children with serious emotional disturbances or substance use challenges; supervisory experience is preferred. A bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required. Applicants should have knowledge of substance use and abuse-related needs, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to supervise and interact appropriately with youth. Current first aid and CPR certification, or the ability to obtain it, is required, along with a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record, and the ability to meet applicable background and physical requirements.
