Managing Director, Private Capital

The Company is seeking a Managing Director to lead and grow its India private equity franchise. The role owns investment strategy, sector priorities, portfolio construction, and disciplined capital deployment, while building strong sourcing networks and representing the organization in the market. Responsibilities span the full investment lifecycle, from origination and underwriting through approval, execution, portfolio oversight, value creation, and exit. The Managing Director will also serve on portfolio company boards, lead and develop the investment team, and collaborate with global colleagues and senior stakeholders. Candidates should bring at least 18 years of relevant investment experience, including substantial recent senior-level private equity leadership in India and a strong realized track record across market cycles. They should have demonstrated expertise in sourcing and executing complex transactions, serving on boards, improving portfolio performance, and building high-performing teams. Deep knowledge of the Indian private equity market, portfolio construction, governance, transaction structures, and exit pathways is required, along with strong analytical, commercial, negotiation, and communication skills. A strong academic background, exceptional investment judgment, and the ability to lead collaboratively while maintaining independent conviction are essential.
