General Counsel Greater Nashville, TN Area

The Company is seeking a General Counsel to oversee its legal affairs, manage legal risks, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Responsibilities include advising executive leadership on legal and strategic matters; managing corporate governance, contracts, litigation, regulatory compliance, intellectual property, and employment law; and drafting and negotiating commercial agreements. The General Counsel will direct outside counsel, support corporate transactions, develop internal legal policies and procedures, and identify and mitigate legal risks across the business. Candidates must hold a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and an active license to practice law in at least one U.S. state. The role requires 10–15 years of progressive legal experience, including substantial corporate law experience; transportation or logistics industry experience is preferred. Applicants should bring strong knowledge of corporate and contract law, litigation management, regulatory compliance, and employment law, along with excellent analytical, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills. High integrity and the ability to work independently and collaboratively are essential.
