Senior Vice President, Portfolio Manager Greater Nashville, TN Area

The Company is seeking a Senior Vice President, Portfolio Manager to support commercial relationship managers by growing and managing loan portfolios while maintaining strong performance and asset quality. Responsibilities include independently assessing credit risk, analyzing complex credit requests and financial statements, structuring and monitoring portfolios, and providing sound credit recommendations. The role also involves reviewing loan documentation, monitoring compliance, credit quality, past-due accounts, and upcoming maturities, and preparing portfolio reports for leadership and board review. The portfolio manager will partner with sales and credit teams, manage client relationships, represent the team in meetings, and may mentor other portfolio management staff. Candidates should have banking portfolio management experience, extensive knowledge of loan structures, and the ability to apply that expertise to credit analysis and recommendations. A bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field is preferred. Strong financial analysis, modeling, negotiation, communication, organization, and time-management skills are required, along with the ability to identify and mitigate credit risks independently. The role also calls for sound judgment, ethical conduct, discretion with sensitive information, and the ability to follow applicable policies, regulations, and internal controls.
