Associate Vice President, Commercial Real Estate Review Appraiser Greater New York City, NY Area

The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President, Commercial Real Estate Review Appraiser to review and analyze appraisal reports for income-producing properties, assess the credibility and reasonableness of valuations, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and professional standards. Responsibilities include evaluating third-party appraisals, completing internal valuation assignments for loan underwriting, conducting market research, and advising lending and executive teams on real estate valuation matters. The role also involves engaging fee appraisers and conducting property inspections as needed. Candidates must hold a current New York State General Appraiser Certification and have at least 10 years of recent experience appraising or reviewing complex commercial properties in the New York metropolitan area. A bachelor’s degree is required, along with strong analytical, written, verbal, organizational, and time-management skills; familiarity with office, retail, multifamily, mixed-use, and cooperative properties is essential. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using real estate data sources are required. Appraisal review experience in a regulated financial institution and an MAI or AI-GRS designation are preferred.
