Associate Vice President, Development & Donor Engagement Greater New York City, NY Area

The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President of Development and Donor Engagement to advance fundraising strategy across major gifts, annual giving, events, and donor engagement. The role leads donor and partner cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship, identifies new funding opportunities, and works with senior leaders to set goals and grow revenue. Responsibilities include overseeing fundraising events, aligning engagement across teams, and contributing to organizational planning and change initiatives. The AVP also leads and develops fundraising staff and oversees the implementation and ongoing improvement of development systems, data practices, and reporting. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree, at least eight years of progressive experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, or a related field, and at least five years of staff management experience. A record of managing donor portfolios and increasing revenue is required, along with strong relationship-building, communication, strategic execution, collaboration, and project management skills. Experience with CRM systems and fundraising tools is preferred. The ideal candidate is adaptable, data-driven, and effective at managing multiple priorities and developing teams.
