Chief Clinical Officer (CCO)

The Company is seeking a Chief Clinical Officer to set the strategic direction for clinical care across its services and sites. The role leads senior clinical leaders, establishes organization-wide standards and accountability, and promotes coordinated, accessible, evidence-based, patient-centered care. In partnership with operational and quality leaders, the CCO aligns clinical capacity and staffing with patient needs, monitors outcomes, and drives improvement in quality, safety, and access. The CCO also advises executive leadership and the Board on clinical strategy, workforce needs, risks, and service development, represents the organization with external partners, and maintains a limited active clinical practice. Candidates must hold an MD or DO from an accredited medical school, board certification in a relevant primary care specialty, and completion of an appropriate accredited residency. A current unrestricted or eligible New Jersey medical license, applicable DEA and CDS registrations, and current BLS certification are required; a related master’s degree is preferred. Applicants should bring substantial ambulatory-care experience and progressive senior leadership overseeing clinical services, quality, provider performance, and multidisciplinary teams, ideally in a multi-site community or safety-net setting. The role calls for strong executive judgment, communication, collaboration, and change-leadership skills, along with knowledge of community health, healthcare finance, and applicable regulatory and accreditation requirements. Proficiency with electronic health records and clinical information systems is expected; English-Spanish bilingual skills are a plus.
