General Counsel

The Company is seeking a General Counsel to take on a multifaceted role that encompasses legal, compliance, and public policy responsibilities. The successful candidate will serve as the primary in-house legal advisor, oversee corporate governance and entity management, maintain the company's licensing portfolio, and build a robust compliance framework. This hands-on position also involves day-to-day legal advisory, including commercial contract negotiation, and managing government affairs and regulatory relations. The ideal candidate will have a J.D. from an accredited law school, at least 5 years' legal experience, and a strong background in commercial contracting. A startup mentality, enthusiasm for AI, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential. Applicants for the General Counsel position at the company should be adept at balancing legal risk with business goals, have excellent communication skills, and be comfortable with the dynamic nature of a fast-growing, lean legal function. While not mandatory, experience in highly regulated consumer industries such as gaming, fintech, or payments, and familiarity with government affairs and regulatory frameworks, are considered a bonus.
