Interim Associate Vice President, Data & AI

The Company is in search of an Associate Vice President for Data and AI, with a focus on technology. The successful candidate will be a senior product leader responsible for driving the strategy, development, and adoption of data and AI capabilities that support underwriting operations. This role involves managing the end-to-end product lifecycle for AI-enabled analytics, automation, and decision-support products, and translating underwriting business needs into production-ready capabilities that enhance operational performance and business outcomes. Key responsibilities for the AVP include defining product strategy, roadmaps, and measurable business goals, as well as identifying and prioritizing AI, automation, and analytics use cases across insurance operations. The role also requires leading the discovery, requirements, Agile delivery, user testing, and production launches, and ensuring the adoption of the products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product management, with at least 7 years' experience, and a minimum of 3 years in delivering data, analytics, or AI/ML products. Direct experience in P&C insurance underwriting, a technical understanding of relevant technologies, and a Bachelor's degree are essential. Preferred experience includes underwriting workbench, policy administration, or insurance platform modernization, as well as exposure to specific industry technologies and relevant product management certification.
