Vice President, MEP Design & Construction Greater New York City, NY Area

The Company is seeking a Vice President of MEP Design & Construction to lead mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems from design through construction, commissioning, and turnover on a complex, mixed-use project. Responsibilities include guiding technical decisions and design reviews, coordinating disciplines and consultants, and overseeing procurement, value engineering, construction execution, costs, schedule, and change management. The role also leads field coordination and commissioning, resolves design and installation issues, and ensures systems are operationally ready through documentation, training, and handover. As the owner’s representative, the Vice President will coordinate with project partners and operations teams and communicate technical risks and decisions to senior stakeholders. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or a related discipline; a professional engineering license is preferred. At least 10 years of experience delivering MEP scope on large, complex projects is required, along with demonstrated expertise in procurement, contract and change management, commissioning, and turnover. Strong knowledge of building codes, permitting, and construction administration processes is expected. Candidates should also be proficient with Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, project management software, and BIM coordination tools, and bring strong commercial judgment, organization, negotiation, and executive communication skills.
