Vice President of Data

The Company is in search of a Vice President of Data and AI to spearhead the establishment and expansion of a Data-as-a-Product practice. This executive will be responsible for the full spectrum of data-product management, including strategy development, roadmap execution, and ensuring that data products align with business objectives and deliver tangible value. The role demands a leader with a strong background in reporting, visualization, and analytics technologies, as well as experience in data warehouses, ETL/ELT, and cloud-based analytics environments. The successful candidate will also be adept at translating business requirements into data and technology delivery, and will have a proven track record in agile delivery and product ownership. Candidates for the Vice President of Data and AI position at the company should have a minimum of 8 years' experience in data-related functions, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. A strong understanding of the insurance industry and its business objectives is essential. The role requires a professional with excellent communication skills, the ability to partner with senior business leaders, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of data quality, security, and governance. Preferred qualifications include direct experience in insurance or reinsurance, Agile Product Owner certification, and familiarity with a range of data and analytics technologies. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, capable of driving the data product vision and execution across the enterprise.
