Vice President, Surplus Lines & Licensing Greater New York City, NY Area

The Company is seeking a Vice President, Surplus Lines & Licensing to lead its surplus lines and licensing function, ensuring regulatory compliance, operational effectiveness, and consistent service. Responsibilities include leading and developing the team; overseeing filings, taxes, fees, and regulatory reporting; and translating regulatory changes into effective processes. The role will serve as a subject matter expert for complex matters, strengthen controls and quality standards, and partner with teams across the organization. The Vice President will also drive process improvement and automation, support audits and regulatory inquiries, develop training and communications, and assist with acquisition due diligence. Candidates should bring significant property and casualty insurance experience, strong surplus lines expertise, and demonstrated knowledge of related regulations, filings, taxes, and compliance requirements. Progressive leadership experience overseeing people, processes, and operational performance is required, along with strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, collaboration, and influencing skills. Experience with process improvement, technology, and automation is preferred. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience is required.
