Vice President of Information Security

The Company is in search of a Vice President of Information Security to spearhead its enterprise cybersecurity strategy and organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing both strategic and operational leadership in various areas, including security operations, cyber risk, architecture, incident response, and team development. This role demands a professional with a strong technical cybersecurity background, capable of effectively communicating cyber risk to executives, leading major security initiatives, and building high-performing teams. Key responsibilities for the VP of Information Security at the company include the development and execution of the enterprise information security strategy, oversight of security engineering, operations, and incident response, as well as the establishment of security architecture across various platforms. The role also involves integrating security throughout the software development lifecycle, managing cybersecurity budgets, and supporting regulatory examinations and audits. The ideal candidate will have a BS or MS degree in a related field, progressive leadership experience in enterprise information security, and a proven track record in managing cybersecurity programs and teams. Experience in a highly regulated industry, particularly financial services, is highly valued. The role requires a deep understanding of security architecture, cloud security, and various security frameworks. Preferred qualifications include industry-standard certifications and experience with AI governance and security. The VP of Information Security will be expected to address emerging risks, including those associated with AI and generative AI, and to have a strong background in managing cybersecurity budgets, vendors, and security service providers.
