Board Member

The Company is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering education, community engagement, arts, and recreation. They are currently seeking mission-driven leaders to join their Board of Directors. Board members play a crucial role in guiding the organization's mission, operational policies, and programming growth. The ideal candidates will have expertise in one or more of the following areas: fundraising and development, finance and accounting, or legal and governance. Key responsibilities for board members include strategic oversight, fiduciary stewardship, committee leadership, ambassadorship, and resource development. The successful candidates will be expected to have a strong commitment to grassroots community building, local arts, and neighborhood revitalization. Professional experience in the relevant target areas is essential, and a strong collaborative mindset with a willingness to engage as a working board member is required. While prior board experience is welcomed, it is not mandatory, and emerging leaders with the necessary skill sets are encouraged to apply. The time commitment for this role is approximately 4-8 hours per month, including monthly board meetings, committee work, and center events.
