Vice President of Advancement Greater Pittsburgh, PA Area

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Advancement to provide executive leadership for fundraising, external relations, and advancement operations. The role involves developing a comprehensive, data-informed strategy to grow philanthropic support through major and principal gifts, planned giving, institutional funding, and campaigns. The successful candidate will manage donor portfolios and partner with senior leadership and board members to cultivate, solicit, and steward significant gifts. They will also build strategic external partnerships, strengthen a culture of philanthropy, and lead a high-performing advancement team with clear goals and accountability. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in business, nonprofit management, communications, or a related field; a master’s degree or fundraising certification is preferred. At least 15 years of progressive fundraising and advancement leadership experience, including five years leading senior-level teams, is required. Applicants should demonstrate success securing major gifts and managing complex campaigns, along with expertise in pipeline development, portfolio management, and data-informed decision-making. Strong relationship-building, communication, board partnership, and cross-functional collaboration skills are essential.
