Executive Director of Operations Greater Portland, ME Area

The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Operations to lead a senior living community and oversee its day-to-day performance. Responsibilities include managing budgets, occupancy goals, staffing levels, and customer service; authorizing purchases; supporting sales; and conducting family meetings. The role also involves reviewing financial statements and revenue projections, managing the Sales Director, building referral relationships, and addressing resident and family concerns. The Executive Director will contribute to hiring, employee training, and development while fostering an effective, supportive community environment. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree; a degree in healthcare administration, hospitality management, or business is preferred. Three to five years of management or healthcare-related experience, including responsibility for multiple disciplines, is required, along with budgeting and staffing experience. Applicants must hold an RCA or LNHA license and be proficient with Windows applications such as Excel and Outlook. Strong leadership, emotional intelligence, sound judgment, patience, and empathy are important for success in the role.
