Assistant Vice President, Applications Support Greater Pune, India Area

The Company is seeking an Assistant Vice President for an Application Support Senior Analyst role. The successful candidate will be a seasoned professional with a minimum of 5-8 years' experience in an application support capacity, particularly within a mainframe environment. The role requires a deep understanding of z/OS environments, including proficiency in COBOL, JCL, PL/I, REXX, DB2, VSAM, CICS, and experience with debugging and diagnostics tools such as OMEGAMON, STROBE, and INTERTEST. The candidate should also have a strong background in file management with File-AID, source control with Changeman, and a solid understanding of IBM MQ Series and file transfer protocols like Connect:Direct (NDM). Experience with enterprise scheduling tools such as OPC, Autosys, Control-M, or CA-7 is essential. Key responsibilities for this role include providing technical and business support for users of the company's applications, maintaining application systems, managing and supporting applications and their operating environments, and driving stability, efficiency, and effectiveness improvements. The role also involves start-of-day checks, continuous monitoring, risk reconciliations, and the development of technical support documentation. The ideal candidate will have advanced execution capabilities, be adept at problem-solving, and have the ability to communicate technical issues effectively to non-IT staff. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required, and the candidate should be able to work with a limited level of direct supervision, demonstrating independence and the ability to influence decisions within the area of specialization.
