Vice President, Data Engineering, Asset Management Greater Pune, India Area

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Data Engineering for its asset management business. The role combines hands-on engineering with leadership of a data engineering team, including designing and reviewing data pipelines, transformations, models, APIs, and data services. The successful candidate will shape the data platform’s architecture and roadmap, improve performance and cost efficiency, and lead responses to complex production and data-quality issues. They will establish engineering standards, advance automation and data product practices, embed security and governance controls, and coordinate delivery across teams and stakeholders. Candidates should bring strong experience building and operating data platforms using Snowflake and Azure, including expertise in data ingestion, curation, serving, performance optimization, and production support. The role requires technical leadership skills in coaching teams, planning delivery and capacity, managing risks, and developing engineering capability. Knowledge of CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automated testing, data quality, metadata, lineage, security, and operational resilience is important. Candidates should also be able to collaborate across disciplines, communicate technical trade-offs to senior stakeholders, manage external engineering contributions, and use AI-assisted development tools responsibly.
