Vice President, Senior Software Engineer, Python & Data Greater Pune, India Area

The Company is seeking a senior software engineer to design, build, and optimize high-throughput Python services and SQL data pipelines for regulatory and market surveillance controls. Responsibilities include translating regulatory requirements into automated control algorithms, partnering with risk, trading, and compliance stakeholders, and modeling trade lifecycles, order workflows, and risk analytics. The role also involves performance tuning, applying generative AI and automation to streamline workflows, and guiding architecture, code reviews, testing, and CI/CD practices. The engineer will mentor colleagues and ensure systems meet security and regulatory requirements. Candidates should have at least 10 years of software engineering experience, with deep hands-on expertise in Python backend development and data-intensive pipelines. Advanced SQL skills, strong relational database design and optimization knowledge, and familiarity with capital markets and transaction lifecycles are required. Applicants should demonstrate technical leadership, analytical problem-solving, and effective communication with technical and business stakeholders. Experience with regulatory or surveillance platforms, container technologies, distributed data systems, or generative AI is beneficial. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
