Vice President of Software Greater San Diego, CA Area

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Software to set the software strategy and lead delivery, quality, architecture, and security across its software portfolio. The role includes building and scaling multidisciplinary teams; overseeing mobile applications, cloud services, data and AI capabilities, partner integrations, and manufacturing software; and establishing DevOps practices and engineering metrics. The executive will ensure software development meets medical-device quality, regulatory, privacy, and cybersecurity requirements, and will guide regulatory submissions and postmarket activities. Close collaboration with product, design, engineering, quality, clinical, operations, and commercial teams is central to the role. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, computer or electrical engineering, or a related technical field; an advanced degree is preferred. Requirements include 15 or more years of software development experience, including at least eight years in progressive leadership roles, and a record of delivering regulated medical-device software and consumer mobile applications. Strong knowledge of relevant medical-device standards, FDA requirements, privacy regulations, mobile and cloud technologies, DevOps, and CI/CD is expected, along with experience in SaaS and organizational growth. Experience with manufacturing software, data platforms, and AI/ML is valued, as are strategic judgment, clear executive communication, and a track record of building high-performing teams.
