Vice Dean of Finance & Administration Greater San Francisco, CA Area

The Company is seeking a Vice Dean of Finance and Administration to serve as the chief business officer for its School of Medicine. The role leads financial strategy, administrative operations, human resources, organizational planning, and the systems and controls that support academic, research, and clinical priorities. Responsibilities include developing and overseeing budgets and long-range financial plans, advising on resource allocation and major investments, improving operational performance, and leading strategic initiatives and organizational change. The Vice Dean also works with health system partners to shape financial agreements and align academic and clinical priorities, while overseeing compliance, risk management, and leadership development. Candidates must bring executive-level experience in a complex healthcare organization, along with expert knowledge of business and strategic planning, financial management, program development, and organizational development. The role requires expertise in operating budget development, financial analysis and reporting, and using metrics to improve performance and integration. Applicants should have advanced knowledge of relevant regulatory and compliance environments, as well as exceptional collaboration, communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
