Founding Dean

The Company is seeking a Founding Dean for its new medical school, a pioneering institution born from a unique partnership between a leading healthcare system and a prestigious university. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape the school's vision, culture, curriculum, faculty, governance, and institutional strategy. This role is pivotal in guiding the school through the accreditation process, building a nationally recognized institution, and addressing the critical physician workforce shortages while preparing future physicians to lead healthcare transformation. The ideal candidate will be an entrepreneurial and collaborative leader with a strong commitment to advancing healthcare through education, research, and service, and will be responsible for establishing a contemporary model of medical education that is deeply rooted in humanity and innovation. Applicants for the Founding Dean position should hold an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. with full professor credentials, be board certified or board eligible, and have a proven track record of leadership in academic medicine or a related environment. Extensive experience with LCME accreditation, compliance requirements for medical education programs, and contemporary medical education trends is essential. The role requires a leader with a deep understanding of the integration of education, research, and clinical care, as well as demonstrated success in managing large budgets, recruiting and retaining faculty and specialty physicians, and engaging external stakeholders. The Founding Dean will be at the forefront of redefining physician education in the context of rapid advancements in healthcare and must be prepared to influence the future of medicine and healthcare delivery for generations to come.
