Vice President, Networking Greater San Jose, CA Area
About the Role
Greater San Jose, CA Area (Hybrid)(Palo Alto, California)
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Networking to build and lead its networking organization and own network architecture, deployment, software, and operations end to end. Responsibilities include designing connectivity across compute clusters, data centers, sites, and customers; setting standards for performance, reliability, security, and isolation; and automating provisioning, telemetry, and remediation. The role will establish vendor and technology strategies, guide network design in new builds, and partner with engineering, capacity, and customer-facing teams. The leader will also manage network costs and deliver reliable connectivity as the platform expands across multiple sites. Candidates should bring 15 or more years of large-scale networking experience, including at least seven years leading organizations at the vice president level or above. They must have directly owned a production network at hyperscale, with accountability for reliability and customer outcomes, and a record of implementing network software, automation, or programmable infrastructure at production scale. The role calls for a hands-on, outcome-driven leader who can navigate ambiguity, make architecture and supply decisions, and engage deeply with engineering. Familiarity with AI cluster networking, optical transport, programmable data planes, or AI-enabled workflows is advantageous.
